Joseph Blair retired (from basketball) to Tucson after a successful 13 year professional career, that included time with the Seattle Supersonics, Chicago Bulls, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters, and 8 teams in 5 different European countries. During his playing years he had already began to immerse himself in the Tucson community, forming the Arizona Basketball Academy, a free of charge basketball camp, in 2000, as well as working with many other charitable organizations. In 2009, Joseph formed and served as Executive Director for the Arizona Basketball Alumni Foundation. He now runs his own consulting company, Blairplayers LLC, as well as serving as Executive Director and founder of the Blair Charity Group. He continues to be a strong advocate for the Southern Arizona community and its youth.

Recently, the Youth On Their Own office was notified that teens/youth identifying themselves as YOTO students were canvasing local neighborhoods, requesting monetary donations door–to-door. If this should occur, please DO NOT give money or anything else to these people and notify the police immediately!

Youth On Their Own students and organization do not solicit “door-to-door” and Youth On Their Own students do not canvas neighborhoods. Donations made to Youth On Their Own are made directly to YOTO either by mail, at yoto.org, or at YOTO events.

We thank you for your continued support and urge you to exercise caution when anyone comes to your door for a donation.
