  • Graduation Celebration

    May 10, 2012

    On May 9, 2012, Youth On Their Own hosted a Graduation Celebration for our graduating students at Funtasticks to recognize their hard work and accomplishments. The students played miniature golf and had fun racing bumper boats and go-karts. They also enjoyed a light meal, sweet treats, and cotton candy made especially for them. Each student received a gift bag of collegiate wear donated by the University of Arizona as an expression for YOTO’s pride in their success.

  • Liaison Appreciation Event

    April 18, 2012

    On April 18, 2012 Youth On Their Own hosted a sunset reception for our school liaisons at Old Pueblo Grill to thank them for their support and hard work. The liaisons enjoyed a relaxing evening of socializing and delicious snacks. Each liaison received a gift bag as an expression of our appreciation and an opportunity to win the raffle for a fantastic TV.

  • Talk Of The Town 2012: Diamonds in the Rough

    On Friday, March 30, 2012, Youth On Their own celebrated the 26th annual Talk of The Town event at the Loew’s Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson. Over 550 friends and supporters attended the successful event and enjoyed the silent and live raffles, live entertainment, and first-hand stories of current and past YOTO students whose lives have been touched forever by the support we provide.

  • Holiday Food Distribution

    December 2011

    In December, “Feed the Children” gifted Youth On Their Own with mountains of food, clothing, and personal care items. With the help of an incredible volunteer team, we distributed boxes of these needed staples to each YOTO student.

  • Holiday Party

    December 9, 2011

    On December 9, 2012, Youth On Their Own hosted a holiday celebration for all of our YOTO students. With a special performance by the Tucson Magnet High School steel drum band, students received delicious food, live entertainment, and gift cards donated by generous supporters. The smiles and laughter filled everyone’s hearts with holiday joy.

  • YOTO Classic Golf Tournament

    December 2, 2011

    On December 2, 2011 Youth On Their Own hosted a Classic Golf Tournament at the Omni Tucson National Resort. Four player groups enjoyed cool temperatures, friendship and laughter, and the opportunity to support high school graduation for Tucson’s homeless youth.

  • Liaison Sunset Meet and Greet

    October 28, 2011

    On October 28, 2011, 2011 Youth On Their Own hosted a sunset meet and greet for all our school liaisons at Old Pueblo Grill to kick off the school year with networking and collaboration. The liaisons were able to socialize with one another and enjoy the beautiful Tucson outdoors. It was a relaxing evening for everyone. Each liaison received a gift as a token of our appreciation. Thank you to all the school liaisons that support the YOTO program! Because of their help we are making the difference to so many students!

  • 2nd Annual Fall Wine Tasting Event

    October 9, 2011

    On Sunday, October 19, 2011, Youth On Their Own hosted “The Fall Wine Tasting” at McMahon’s Prime Steakhouse, a posh, classy, well-known landmark restaurant that features one of the largest winecellars in Tucson. Over 250 guests attended and sampled many wonderful wines from the U.S and around the world while they enjoyed delicious appetizers. Live entertainment and an extensive raffle completed the day.

  • Arizona’s Bicentennial Strength Event

    September 22, 2011

    To celebrate Arizona’s 200th Birthday, Tucson sponsored an Old West gala to recognize organizations that contribute to Arizona’s strength and future. Youth On Their Own was invited to speak on behalf of the many homeless young people who have been helped to graduate from high school and succeed in life.

Urgent Alert to All!

Recently, the Youth On Their Own office was notified that teens/youth identifying themselves as YOTO students were canvasing local neighborhoods, requesting monetary donations door–to-door. If this should occur, please DO NOT give money or anything else to these people and notify the police immediately!

Youth On Their Own students and organization do not solicit “door-to-door” and Youth On Their Own students do not canvas neighborhoods. Donations made to Youth On Their Own are made directly to YOTO either by mail, at yoto.org, or at YOTO events.

We thank you for your continued support and urge you to exercise caution when anyone comes to your door for a donation.
