Student Holiday Hope

The 2011 Holiday Hope Party for Youth On Their Own students is in planning! For most YOTO kids, this will be their only holiday celebration! The party and gifts are made possible because of you, our cherished supporters, who so generously donate your time, talent and resources to make this event possible for the homeless youth in our program. Thank you!

The Holiday Hope Party will be held on Friday December 9, 2011 at Son Life Chapel from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. YOTO students will be treated to a nice meal and raffle prizes. Each student will also receive a $10.00 gift card in a personalized holiday card. You can make the difference by donating a gift card-$10.00 only per card, please! With your help, we can meet this ambitious and exciting goal of delivering a heartwarming holiday gift remembrance to over 500 YOTO students!

Please note the below suggested donations for gift cards, raffle prizes and other necessary party items. There are many ways to get involved and your donation is tax-deductible. All donations must be into YOTO by Thursday, December 1, 2011.

As you can imagine, the holidays are the most difficult for anyone who is alone and without family and so much sadder for a young person like the teens in our program. The YOTO Holiday party is a tradition that provides powerful emotional support and care for each and every student enrolled in our program. Thank you for your past support and also your attention to this year’s request. You are making a difference for Youth On Their Own students and for our community! Thank you for supporting Holiday Hope 2011.

Urgent Alert to All!

Recently, the Youth On Their Own office was notified that teens/youth identifying themselves as YOTO students were canvasing local neighborhoods, requesting monetary donations door–to-door. If this should occur, please DO NOT give money or anything else to these people and notify the police immediately!

Youth On Their Own students and organization do not solicit “door-to-door” and Youth On Their Own students do not canvas neighborhoods. Donations made to Youth On Their Own are made directly to YOTO either by mail, at yoto.org, or at YOTO events.

We thank you for your continued support and urge you to exercise caution when anyone comes to your door for a donation.
