Youth On Their Own is excited to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors.
These outstanding leaders will serve for a minimum of three years to provide governance, financial oversight, and strategic vision for YOTO. Please help us welcome the newest members of YOTO’s governing body:
Antonio Rubio is a YOTO graduate from Catalina Magnet High School and the Owner/Operator of FeelGood Fitness Tucson. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve on the YOTO Board of Directors. Giving back to an organization that changed my life is such an honor.”
Tony Spear is a retired engineer, educator, and entrepreneur who now works as a performer, manager, and producer of a local swing band. “I’m looking forward to joining the Board of Directors after five years as a YOTO volunteer. This organization is a wonderful Tucson success story and makes an important difference in the lives of teens experiencing homelessness.”
YOTO’s board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future. They adopt sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, and they ensure that YOTO has adequate resources to advance its mission. Equally important, board members also serve as representatives and advocates for YOTO in the community.
