Each of these outstanding leaders will serve for a minimum of three years to provide governance, financial oversight, and strategic vision for YOTO. Please help us welcome the newest members of YOTO’s governing body:

Stephanie Friend is an associate broker with Long Realty Company, and a mom, a grandma, and spouse to a semi-retired attorney. “I am excited to join the YOTO Board of Directors because I believe in YOTO’s mission of helping the most vulnerable youth of our community overcome the obstacles to education created by insecure housing and homelessness.”

Nancy Leslie has lived in Tucson for nine years and is a retired technology sales and marketing executive. “I am excited to serve on the YOTO board because of my passion to help under privileged youth get ahead.”

Angela Pholphiboun is a University of Arizona alumni and Program Director of z/OS Software at IBM. “Joining the YOTO board fulfills my passion for elevating education in underserved youth to help them reach their full potential.”

YOTO’s board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future. They adopt sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, and they ensure that YOTO has adequate resources to advance its mission. Equally important, board members also serve as representatives and advocates for YOTO in the community.

YOTO is currently seeking new board member applications from YOTO graduates who have been out of the YOTO program for at least 10 years. Learn more about serving on the YOTO board at yoto.org/boardservice.
