When her mother told her that she was a financial burden on their family, CeCe felt she had no other choice but to move out. She moved in with her elderly grandmother who, despite providing CeCe with a loving and caring home, suffers from critical health conditions and cannot financially support CeCe. Feeling hopeless, CeCe asked for help from her school guidance counselor who introduced her to Youth On Their Own.
YOTO has helped CeCe by providing clothing, food, hygiene supplies, and $25 gift cards to purchase other necessities. CeCe also earns the maximum stipend each month by maintaining passing grades and steady school attendance. Like many other YOTO students, CeCe is bright, selfless, and determined to earn her high school diploma!
CeCe is currently a sophomore in high school and hopes to attend college after graduating.
