Youth On Their Own is excited to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors.
These outstanding leaders will serve for a minimum of three years to provide governance, financial oversight, and strategic vision for YOTO. Please help us welcome the newest members of YOTO’s governing body:
Meighan LaFata is a native Tucsonan and an attorney with South & Wright, practicing family law and criminal defense. “Youth On Their Own is the epitome of what a well-run non-profit should be, and I am so excited to help serve the children of this community.”
Leila Vega is a YOTO alum, Army veteran, and public sector professional focused on driving equity and opportunity through service. “YOTO made a lasting impact on my life, and I’m here to help ensure that same support reaches even more youth.”
YOTO’s board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future. They adopt sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, and they ensure that YOTO has adequate resources to advance its mission. Equally important, board members also serve as representatives and advocates for YOTO in the community.
