Youth On Their Own is excited to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors.

These outstanding leaders will serve for a minimum of three years to provide governance, financial oversight, and strategic vision for YOTO. Please help us welcome the newest members of YOTO’s governing body:

Jesus Perez is a Tucson-born educator and Superintendent of Nosotros Academy, dedicated to helping at-risk youth become college and career ready. “YOTO has helped hundreds of homeless Nosotros Academy students graduate, and I find no higher privilege than serving alongside the YOTO team.”

Patrick McLaughlin is a longtime Tucsonan and a graduate of the University of Arizona who is currently the Director of IS Service Delivery at CareOregon, focused on driving technology solutions. “I am excited to join the YOTO Board as it provides me an opportunity to use my experience to give back to the community I love by supporting students in need.”

YOTO’s board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future. They adopt sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, and they ensure that YOTO has adequate resources to advance its mission. Equally important, board members also serve as representatives and advocates for YOTO in the community.
